International companies in France
IT services for international companies operating in France
Does your group run a subsidiary, office or site in France? SKILLSYS is a Paris-based IT team that operates your local environment, works in English with your headquarters and applies your group standards. Our operational scope is France; communication and reporting can be international.
What we take care of
Your IT in France, run locally.
A named local team
A named technical contact based in Paris coordinates your French environment and works directly with your group IT team.
On-site work in the Paris region
Installations, office moves, network equipment or workstations: on-site work in Paris and Île-de-France, as set out in the contract.
End-user support in French
Your staff in France get help in their own language, on business days from 9:00 to 18:00, unless the contract extends it.
Your standards, your tools
We apply group policies (security, naming, access management) and work in your ticketing tools where possible.
Hosting in France
For systems that need to stay in France: our own equipment at the Digital Realty PAR5 data centre in Saint-Denis.
24/7 infrastructure monitoring
Critical systems at your French site are monitored around the clock; P1 incidents are handled at any time, as set out in the contract.
Working with your HQ
Who does what between your group IT and SKILLSYS.
A typical co-managed model. The exact split is written into the contract.
| Topic | Group IT (HQ) | SKILLSYS (France) |
|---|---|---|
| Architecture, standards and security policies | Defines and approves | Applies locally and reports deviations |
| Global licences and contracts (Microsoft, network, vendors) | Negotiates and owns | Administers within the agreed scope |
| Local systems operations | Kept informed | Operates, patches, backs up |
| End-user support in France | Group-level escalation | Handles local requests and incidents |
| Major incidents | Decides on group matters | Responds and escalates per the agreed procedure |
| Local suppliers (carriers, maintenance, facilities) | Approves choices | Coordinates day to day |
| Reporting | Receives and decides | Produces periodic reports in English |

French specifics
What changes when the site is in France.
- Language
- Local users, suppliers and carriers work in French. We act as the bridge and document in English for HQ.
- Personal data
- The GDPR applies, supervised in France by the CNIL. We implement the agreed technical measures; legal analysis remains with your advisers.
- Hosting
- “Hosted in France” describes where the equipment sits; it is not the same as a “sovereign cloud”. We describe exactly who can access what.
- Certifications
- The ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and HDS certifications and the SOC 2 attestation of PAR5 belong to the operator, Digital Realty, not to SKILLSYS.
What we do not claim
Clear limits.
- We have no offices outside France: our scope is your business in France.
- No 24/7 end-user support by default: monitoring and P1 incidents are 24/7, routine support is on business days.
- No global follow-the-sun model and no 24/7 SOC.
- No legal advice: we work with your local and group legal teams.
Frequently asked questions
Can you contract with our headquarters instead of the French entity?
The contracting entity is agreed with you during scoping: the French subsidiary or another group company.
Are contracts and reporting in English?
Meetings, documentation and reporting can be in English. Contract documents are drawn up as agreed with you.
Can you run only the French part of a global environment?
Yes, that is the typical case: your group IT keeps the global architecture and we operate the French scope.
What are your response times?
In our proposed grid, a P1 gets a response within 30 minutes, 24/7, with a 4-hour restoration target; P2 to P4 on business days. These times apply under the contract's conditions.
