What happens between the alert and closure.
Every alert follows the same chain, recorded in a shared history. The escalation matrix is agreed with you at onboarding.
- 1
Detection
A probe crosses a threshold or a service stops responding: the alert is timestamped.
- 2
Qualification
An engineer checks the alert, filters out false positives and assigns a P1 to P4 priority.
- 3
Escalation
The people listed in the escalation matrix are notified according to priority.
- 4
Intervention
Restoration or workaround following the procedure for the service concerned.
- 5
Closure and review
Root cause, actions taken and preventive measures are recorded in the incident report.
